The Northridge Coop development consists of three unique cooperative corporations in Jackson Heights/East Elmhurst. The three corporations were originally all together but eventually they split into three independently operated cooperations. These became known as Northridge section 1, Northridge section 2, and Northridge section 3. All buildings were built in the 1950’s. The Northridge coops are bounded loosely by 88th St to the West, 32nd Ave to the north, 92nd St to the east, and Northern Blvd to the south. All buildings were built as traditional Jackson Heights coops, and they all offer high grade elevator apts at unusually low maintenance charges. Maintenance at Northridge includes all utilities which is a highly desirable amenity. In total, Northridge consists of 17 buildings and 34 addresses, all of which are owner occupied because subletting is not allowed at Northridge. This is very unique, and depending on your viewpoint, it can be a very valuable amenity considering that all of your neighbors at Northridge have a vested interest in the beautification, upkeep, and maintenance of the Coop.

We’ve sold a lot of Apts at Northridge and every time we put an apt on the market, we get a lot of activity from home buyers in search for value and convenience in a great location. All three sections have their own set of requirements so if you’re looking at units to purchase, you will need to be aware of the requirements for each one.

Northridge Section 1 is managed by Delkap management. This section offers a sitting area, garage, storage, bike storage, laundry, and much more! Important to note is the fact that Northridge section 1 is NOT pet friendly.
Northridge Section 2 is self-managed. This is unique because it means that it is run by Shareholders who live at the Coop. This saves section 2 shareholders approximately $200,000 per year, which keeps expenses down. This also allows cooperators access to Board Members during the Coop Office’s hours of operation. They also own their own land. Northridge section 2 is cat friendly, but not dog friendly.
Northridge Section 3 is managed by Delkap management. This section also offers a sitting area, garage, storage, bike storage, laundry, and much more! Northridge section 3 is cat friendly, but not dog friendly.
