Karma Dolkar joined the real estate world in early 2023 after transitioning from a successful career in software engineering — and she’s been thriving ever since. A proud Queens College alum with a background in psychology and software development, Karma brings a rare blend of technical precision, problem-solving savvy, and heart-centered service to every client interaction.
Before stepping into real estate, Karma spent three years in the tech world, starting at Morgan Stanley and later working as a Backend Engineer at Ford Motor Company. Her time in corporate environments taught her how to think critically, communicate clearly, and stay calm under pressure — all qualities that now help her navigate contracts, negotiations, and the unpredictable nature of the housing market with ease and confidence.
Her passion for real estate was sparked by her own home-buying journey in June 2022 — a milestone that deeply impacted her and inspired her to help others experience the same pride and joy of homeownership. She especially loves working with first-time buyers and families who’ve worked hard to secure a place they can call home.
Born in Tibet and raised in Queens since the age of 11, Karma is no stranger to responsibility. As the eldest daughter in an immigrant household, she grew up translating, guiding, and advocating for her family through every major milestone — from school paperwork to mortgage payments. That same commitment and compassion show up in her real estate career today.
